By accessing or using AgroMatch ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use this platform.

1.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts under Australian law to use AgroMatch. By registering, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete.

1.2 Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You must not share your account or allow others to access it.
• You must notify AgroMatch immediately of any unauthorised access.
• AgroMatch reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

1.3 Platform Use

AgroMatch grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the platform for the purpose of connecting with agricultural service providers or clients within Australia and Argentina. You must not:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute platform data without written consent.
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings.
• Interfere with or disrupt platform infrastructure.
• Circumvent the platform to contact matched parties outside AgroMatch for the purpose of avoiding subscription fees.

1.4 Subscription and Payments

AgroMatch offers a free tier (1 contact per day) and a Premium tier ($10 AUD/month). Premium subscriptions are billed monthly through PayPal. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. AgroMatch does not offer refunds for partial months.

1.5 Termination

Either party may terminate the use of this platform at any time. AgroMatch may immediately suspend access if a user violates these terms, engages in fraudulent activity, or poses a risk to other users or the platform.

2.1 No Warranty on Service Quality

AgroMatch does not warrant the quality, fitness, safety, or legality of any agricultural services offered or requested on the platform. We do not verify the credentials, licences, insurances, or machinery of any user.

2.2 No Party to Agreements

AgroMatch is not a party to any agreement, contract, or arrangement made between a farmer and a contractor through the platform. Any such agreement is formed directly between those parties, and AgroMatch bears no responsibility for its performance, breach, or consequences.

2.3 No Liability for Losses

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, AgroMatch expressly excludes all liability for:

• Loss of income, profits, or crop yield.
• Damage to property, machinery, or land.
• Personal injury arising from matched service engagements.
• Inaccurate information provided by users.
• Technical failures, data loss, or service interruptions.

2.4 Reference Rates

All rates displayed on AgroMatch (including the $700 AUD/HA reference rate) are indicative only and do not constitute a binding offer or guaranteed price. Actual rates are negotiated directly between the farmer and contractor.

2.5 Insurance Responsibility

Users engaging in agricultural service arrangements are solely responsible for ensuring they hold appropriate insurance including, but not limited to, public liability insurance, crop damage insurance, and vehicle/machinery insurance. AgroMatch does not verify insurance status.

2.6 Argentine Operations

AgroMatch also serves users in the Republic of Argentina. Argentine users are subject to the laws of their respective provinces. AgroMatch makes no representation that the platform complies with Argentine commercial or agricultural regulations beyond general data privacy standards.

AgroMatch is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

3.1 Information We Collect

• Account data: Full name, email address, phone number, work zone/province.
• Usage data: Pages visited, swipe actions, service requests and matches.
• Device data: Browser type, IP address, device identifiers.
• Payment data: Transaction IDs only. We do not store credit card numbers — payments are processed by PayPal.

3.2 How We Use Your Information

• To operate the matchmaking platform and connect farmers with contractors.
• To send transactional notifications (match alerts, service confirmations).
• To improve platform features and fix issues.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3.3 Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with:

• Supabase (database and authentication infrastructure, US-based).
• PayPal (payment processing, for Premium subscribers only).
• Authorities when required by law.

3.4 Contact Visibility

When two users match, their contact details (phone number and email) become visible to each other. Free users may access one matched contact per day. Premium users have unlimited access. You consent to this visibility by using the platform.

3.5 Data Retention

Account data is retained for the duration of your account plus 12 months. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us. Service and delivery logs may be retained for up to 7 years for compliance purposes.

3.6 Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at legal@agrimatchfarm.com. We will respond within 30 days.

3.7 Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.3) for all data in transit. Authentication is managed through Supabase with bcrypt password hashing. Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute data security.

AgroMatch uses browser localStorage (not tracking cookies) to store your session, role preference, and daily free contact usage. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

• agromatch_session — Your authentication token and role. Required for login to work.
• agromatch_contact_date / agromatch_contact_count — Tracks your daily free contact usage. Resets every 24 hours.

These can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's local storage. Doing so will log you out.
